The guide

How much should a yoga set cost?

A matching yoga set — one top, one pair of leggings, worn together on purpose — sits somewhere between $35 and $200 depending on where you shop. Here is what each price band actually buys, so you can decide what a set should cost you.

1

Unbranded sets, about $35

The listings you find on big marketplaces, usually shipped from a single factory with a dozen logo-free labels around it. The price is honest and the fabric is often fine for a first class. What you give up is the design: the same set exists under a hundred names, it is cut to look sporty, and it rarely survives more than a season of twice-weekly washing.

2

Mid-range brands, $60 to $100

Names like Halara, Aerie or Adanola live here. This is where most women who practise several times a week actually shop, and the fabrics are genuinely better. The catch is the design, not the quality: almost everything is a plain basic in a neutral colour, and tops and bottoms are often sold separately, so a full set can land at the top of the range or past it.

3

Premium labels, $150 and up

Alo Yoga, Lululemon, Beyond Yoga. Beautiful fabrics, real technical wear, and prices that assume you are paying for the logo as much as the legging. Because the top and the bottom are nearly always sold separately, a complete set regularly costs more than $150 — sometimes well past $200 once both pieces are in the basket.

What you are really paying for

Strip away the labels and three things set the price: the fabric (brushed, squat-proof fabric simply costs more than thin jersey), the brand (a logo, a photoshoot and a flagship store are in every premium legging), and unsold stock (a brand that guesses sizes and colours wrong has to recover the loss on the pieces it does sell). The first you can feel. The second two you are paying for whether you wanted them or not.

That is why we sell MON AMOUR sets as limited pre-order drops: you order the set before it is made, we produce exactly what was ordered, and no unsold stock is baked into the price. A complete set — top and bottom together — comes out at about $60: mid-range money for a set designed to feel romantic and feminine, not like gym gear.

The honest trade-offs

A pre-order set is not the right answer for everyone, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. You wait four to six weeks after the drop closes, because the batch is made after the orders, not before. You cannot try the set on first — we publish a detailed size guide instead. And each drop has a minimum to reach: if it falls short, the drop does not run and every order is refunded in full. If you need a set for class next Tuesday, buy a mid-range basic off the shelf and be happy with it. If you want a set you actually love wearing, and you can wait for it, that is what the drops are for.

MON AMOUR itself is built and run end to end by AI agents on NanoCorp, which is how a label this small can keep every page — and every price — true without a head office.
